Security Officer

Ascension is seeking a Security Officer for their Columbia St. Mary's facility in Milwaukee, WI. In this full-time role, the officer will be responsible for ensuring safety and security through regular patrols, managing access control, and responding to threats. Daily tasks include conducting incident investigations, creating detailed reports, and addressing any facility or equipment issues. The position requires a valid driver's license from the Wisconsin DMV and a concealed weapons license, both to be obtained within 90 days of hire. Candidates should have either law enforcement experience within six months of hire or a security professional certification prior to starting. A high school diploma or equivalent experience is necessary, and additional certifications such as BLS or management of aggressive behavior are preferred. The role involves a rotating schedule of 40 hours per week, including days and weekends.
