Software Engineer - Edge AI

Canonical is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Edge AI to join their remote team. The role involves developing and maintaining open-source AI/ML inference application packages, with a focus on creating silicon-optimized solutions for various devices. Daily tasks include collaborating with a distributed team, debugging issues, and producing high-quality code, while also engaging in peer reviews and discussions to find effective solutions. Candidates should have at least three years of professional software development experience using Go or C++, along with a solid background in Linux application development. Familiarity with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD systems is advantageous, as is experience with local AI/ML inference frameworks and hardware accelerators. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science is required. The position is fully remote, with the possibility of global travel for internal and external events.
