C++ Software Engineer – Commodities Trading (ICE / CME)

Fionics is seeking a C++ Software Engineer to join their commodities trading team in New York. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing trading systems used for futures trading on ICE and CME. Daily tasks include working on exchange connectivity, market data, and order entry, while collaborating closely with traders and researchers to implement trading strategies into production code. The position requires strong proficiency in modern C++ within a performance-critical environment, along with experience related to ICE and/or CME, particularly in market data and order entry. Candidates should have a solid understanding of the end-to-end functioning of trading systems and prior experience at a proprietary trading firm, hedge fund, or market maker. Familiarity with Python is considered an advantage. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a hands-on environment where their contributions directly impact live trading. The position is based in an established firm that combines the stability of a large organization with the dynamics of a smaller team.
