We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Language Learner Teacher to join our team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As an ELL Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting non-native English speakers in developing their language skills and academic proficiency.
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of English Language Learners
Assess students' English language proficiency and track their progress over time
Collaborate with mainstream teachers to support ELL students' success in content area classes
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that celebrates cultural diversity
Utilize various instructional strategies and technologies to enhance language acquisition
Provide individualized support and differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with ELL teaching practices
Assist in the development and implementation of the school's ELL program
Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate with required certification for subject and level assigned, if applicable*
Demonstrated knowledge of core subject area assigned
Satisfactory outcome of a background check. Employees are responsible for a non-refundable fingerprinting fee (approximately $60).
*Applicants currently pursuing a certification may apply before certification is received. All certifications must be acquired and on file with KIPP OKC before the end of the first year of employment. *

Unwavering commitment to KIPP OKC mission, scholars, families, and community
Strong record of helping children achieve academic success, primarily with students in educationally underserved communities,
Strong desire to teach an academically intense curriculum and commit to an extended school day, week, and year.
Desire to continuously learn and increase effectiveness as a teacher and professional; offer and receive constructive feedback.
Willingness to be flexible and to go above and beyond to meet the needs of KIPP OKC scholars.
