Special Education Teacher - Elementary ERI

Sage Alliance Schools is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher for an elementary classroom focused on students in grades 2-4 who face challenges with emotional self-regulation, anxiety, and behavior. Daily responsibilities include developing engaging lessons that align with curriculum standards, creating a supportive classroom environment, and differentiating instruction to cater to various learning styles. The teacher will also track student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate with families and staff. Candidates must hold a valid New Jersey teaching certification in Special Education for grades K-12 and possess a bachelor's degree in a related field. Experience with Behavioral Intervention Plans and self-contained teaching is essential, along with strong classroom management and communication skills. Additionally, training in crisis prevention techniques, including verbal de-escalation and restraint, is required.
