Commercial Legal Counsel

Tailscale is seeking a Commercial Legal Counsel to provide daily legal support as the company expands. The role involves negotiating various commercial agreements, including those related to enterprise customers, vendors, and data protection. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with teams in Sales, Partnerships, Finance, Security, Product, and Operations to facilitate business transactions and manage associated risks. Responsibilities include advising on deal structures, developing legal templates and playbooks, and translating complex legal issues into actionable recommendations. Candidates should have experience in commercial law, particularly in leading complex transactions, and should be prepared to take on a hands-on role while also shaping the legal function. The position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements.
