Catering Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant to join our team at Anglo American Woodsmith Mine, Whitby, YO22 5EA. This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused and enthusiastic individual to become part of a busy catering operation, supporting the delivery of high-quality food and service in a unique working environment. What you'll be doing Preparing salads, sandwiches, and other cold food items Serving food and beverages to customers Operating tills and processing payments accurately Maintaining cleanliness throughout dining and service areas Supporting stock replenishment and stock rotation Following food safety, health & safety, and company procedures at all times Supporting the wider catering team with day-to-day operations. Previous catering, hospitality, or food service experience is desirable but not essential Positive attitude and willingness to learn Good communication and customer service skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Reliable and flexible approach to work Good attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards Full training will be provided both on site and online.
