Corporate Accountant

Aston Carter is seeking a Corporate Accountant to join their team in Memphis, TN. The role involves preparing journal entries and handling various month-end, quarterly, and annual accounting tasks. Responsibilities include performing balance sheet reconciliations and conducting analytical reviews of income statement accounts to ensure transaction accuracy. The accountant will also support corporate functions in budgeting and forecasting, as well as assist with SOX controls and audits. Collaboration with finance and other internal teams to enhance accounting processes is expected. Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with two or more years of accounting experience preferred. A plan to obtain a CPA license or being already licensed is advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is required, along with familiarity with ERP systems like Oracle or JDE. A solid understanding of GAAP/IFRS principles is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment are also important for this permanent position.
