Specialist-Human Resources

Baptist Memorial Health Care is seeking a Specialist in Human Resources for their Starkville, MS location. The role involves providing HR leadership and services to support the organization's mission, including policy interpretation and employee relations support. Daily tasks include administering benefit plans, assisting with employment needs, and managing personnel transactions. The specialist will also collaborate with the Employee Health Nurse on data management and special projects, while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Strong knowledge of federal and state laws, as well as Baptist policies, is essential for providing timely counsel to management and employees. The position requires a commitment of at least eight hours a day, five days a week, with potential for additional hours as needed. This role is suited for individuals with a solid understanding of HR functions and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The position reports directly to the Director of Human Resources and involves a variety of responsibilities that contribute to the overall effectiveness of the HR department.
