Electrician

The City of North Myrtle Beach is seeking an Electrician to perform skilled and semi-skilled tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of various electrical and mechanical systems, including generators, HVAC, and control systems. The role involves ensuring compliance with industry standards and coordinating major repairs as necessary. Daily responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing electrical components such as wiring, outlets, and light fixtures. Candidates should have a high school diploma and vocational training in electrical installation and repair, along with three to five years of relevant experience. A Journeyman’s Electrical License is required, and applicants must also obtain a valid commercial driver’s license. The position demands physical capability to operate various tools and equipment, as well as the ability to lift and move heavy objects. This role is suitable for individuals with a strong background in electrical work who are comfortable working in a hands-on environment. The position reports to the Facility Management Superintendent.
