Brand Design Lead

Descript is seeking a Brand Design Lead to join their remote team, focusing on enhancing the brand's presence through various campaigns, web experiences, and events. In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing high-quality design work that aligns with the company's ethos. You will develop scalable brand systems and toolkits, enabling other teams to create on-brand assets independently. The position requires a strong command of design principles, including typography, color, and composition, as well as experience in directing external creative partners. Candidates should have at least six years of experience in brand design, with a portfolio that demonstrates both strategic thinking and execution across multiple channels. Familiarity with AI tools for scaling work while maintaining quality is essential. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about storytelling and eager to mentor others in the design field. The position reports to the Director of Brand & Content and is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements.
