Lead AI Engineer with Node.js, TypeScript

EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead AI Engineer with expertise in Node.js and TypeScript to contribute to the development of an AI-powered Risk Map solution. In this role, you will lead a team of 3-4 engineers, focusing on creating an AI-enabled risk assessment system that significantly reduces manual assessment time. Daily responsibilities include enhancing prompt quality, improving AI workflows, and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of AI outputs. You will also implement new AI capabilities, support integration into existing platforms, and collaborate closely with the AI Architect and Lead Engineer. The position requires over five years of experience in AI or software engineering, with a strong background in LLM and Generative AI, as well as practical knowledge of Prompt Engineering. Familiarity with enterprise LLM platforms like Claude is essential. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in Armenia, including home or designated offices in Yerevan or Gyumri. This role is well-suited for engineers who enjoy hands-on work with AI tools and have experience in production delivery.
