Collection Clerk ( JB4697) Randburg, Gauteng Fixed-Term Contract (6 months) Seeking two Collection Clerks to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidates will be responsible for managing and collecting outstanding debts from students and other stakeholders, ensuring timely payments and maintaining accurate records. Key Responsibilities: Contact debtors to collect outstanding payments. Negotiate payment plans and terms with debtors. Maintain accurate records of collection activities and payments. Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving payment issues. Collaborate with other departments to reconcile accounts and ensure accurate billing. Utilize debt collection software or systems to track and manage collections. Minimum Requirements: Education: Matric Certificate or equivalent; a post-secondary qualification in finance or a related field is an advantage. Experience: At least 1 year of experience in debt collection or customer service, preferably within an educational or financial services environment. Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills, attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office. Attributes: High level of integrity, strong organizational skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team. Additional: Familiarity with debt collection software or systems is a plus.
