Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Golang)

Procore Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in backend development with Golang, located in Austin, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting and building a high-performance microservice for document rendering, utilizing Golang and a Postgres database. Your day-to-day tasks will include evolving an existing Ruby on Rails monolith into a modular system, defining architectural patterns, and establishing engineering best practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure system reliability while delivering impactful solutions. The position requires hands-on engineering experience and a strong focus on code quality, performance, and maintainability. This role is hybrid, requiring you to work in the Austin office two days a week. Ideal candidates will have a passion for solving complex problems and a desire to create elegant solutions. You will report to a Software Engineering Manager and play a key role in enhancing Procore's file services platform.
