Mactores is seeking a Project Manager to oversee a significant data center migration and modernization initiative, focusing on transferring workloads, applications, and infrastructure to AWS. In this role, you will be responsible for planning migration phases, managing risks, and coordinating efforts among engineering, architecture, security, and business teams to ensure adherence to project timelines. The position emphasizes accountability, as you will maintain the schedule and facilitate communication with clients while engineers handle the technical aspects of the project. The ideal candidate should possess strong project management skills, particularly in managing large-scale IT projects, and have experience with AWS environments. Familiarity with tools that streamline engagement work, such as Aedeon, is beneficial. The role is fully remote, making it suitable for individuals who thrive in a flexible work environment. This position is well-suited for professionals who are adept at navigating complex projects and are committed to delivering results on time.

Mactores is the agent-native AWS modernization firm. Most modernization work doesn't ship, it stalls in pilots, slips a year, or lands at three times the budget. We exist to ship it: production systems running, legacy retired, outcomes measured. Our delivery is built on Aedeon, the agent platform built by Mactores' founders' sister company, which absorbs the repetitive 60–70% of engagement work, discovery, dependency mapping, validation, test generation, that traditional consulting bills human hours against. Forward-deployed engineers own the rest: architecture, judgment, and cutover, on dates we commit to in the contract. When a firm signs fixed dates and absorbs its own overages, project management stops being status theater and becomes the delivery mechanism. You'll lead a large-scale data center migration and modernization program moving workloads, applications, and infrastructure to AWS planning the waves, tracking the risks, aligning engineering, architecture, security, and business teams, and keeping the committed date defensible every single week. The engineers own the technical judgment. You own the schedule they ship against and the communication the customer plans against.
