Agile Robots in Munich is seeking a (Senior) Electronics Engineer to join its Robotics and Mechatronics teams. The primary focus of this position involves developing PCB-level electronics for robotic arms, covering the entire lifecycle from initial safety-circuit concepts to final production-ready schematics. Day-to-day tasks include creating and reviewing layouts, wiring diagrams, and bill of materials, as well as designing in-house test devices and writing corresponding test cases. The role also requires hands-on troubleshooting of electrical issues on physical robots, often in collaboration with firmware, software, and mechanics engineers. Candidates must possess a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field, or demonstrate equivalent practical experience in designing electronics for robotic or industrial systems. Essential technical skills include proficiency with Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout, microcontroller programming, and signal debugging using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers. Applicants need a working knowledge of safety standards for high-voltage and high-current systems, as well as power electronics topics such as PMSM motor control, DC/DC converters, battery management, and thermal design. Familiarity with communication protocols used in robotic applications is also required. The advert does not specify language requirements, working arrangements, or specific experience levels beyond the seniority title. This role suits engineers who enjoy hands-on building and debugging within a multidisciplinary robotics environment.
