Where the employers are

By the employer’s own country, not by where you would be working — that is the point of the list. A remote advert from an employer in one country is what a search from anywhere else actually finds.

What “remote” does not tell you here

• It is the word the board used. We record what the source claimed and do not verify it, so a listing marked remote may still mean two days a week in an office named further down the advert. The original advert is one click from every posting, and it is the thing to read before applying.
• We hold the employer’s country, not the countries they will hire from. Those are different questions, and only the advert answers the second one. A role open “remote, worldwide” and a role open remote to one time zone look identical in any count, including this one.
• 1 830 remote postings carry a title our table does not recognise. They are counted in the total and in no group, rather than filed under a profession they may not be.
• And nothing here is advice about visas, work permits or tax residency. We hold no source for any of it, and a page that ranks for “remote job worldwide” is the worst place to guess.

1. Filter the catalogue to remote — readable without an account, and the filter searches worldwide rather than around a city. Every posting links to the original advert.
2. Match the resume to the advert — a remote opening is read by people in many countries, so the keyword check against one specific posting is worth more here than anywhere else.
3. Keep the applications in one place — seven stages, interview reminders a day ahead, and time zones that make a forgotten call expensive.
4. And if you are looking locally too — the same count for one country, with what is open there and where else to look.
