We are currently recruiting for a Barista to join our team at North East Scotland College, Aberdeen, AB25 1BN . This is a fantastic opportunity for a friendly and customer-focused individual to work within a busy college environment, preparing and serving high-quality hot and cold beverages while delivering excellent customer service. What's in it for you? £13.45 per hour 12 hours per week Thursdays and Fridays Working hours of 8:00am - 2:00pm Term-time only role 42.6 working weeks per year Catering facilities available on site Access to our Employee Benefits app, including online GP access, Employee Assistance Programme, discounts, supermarket savings and more Life assurance and pension scheme Training and development opportunities Apprenticeship schemes available Career progression within a global organisation Excellent work-life balance with college holiday periods What you'll be doing Preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages Delivering excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors Operating tills and handling customer transactions accurately Replenishing stock and maintaining beverage stations Ensuring coffee machines and equipment are cleaned and maintained Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout service areas Following food safety, allergen, and health & safety procedures Supporting the wider catering team during busy service periods About you Previous Barista or customer service experience is desirable but not essential Passion for delivering excellent customer service Positive attitude and willingness to learn Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Reliable, punctual, and organised approach to work Commitment to maintaining high standards of service and presentation Important Requirements Successful candidates will be required to obtain PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) clearance prior to commencing employment.
