General Service Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a General Service Assistant to join our team at Somme Barracks, Catterick Garrison, DL9 4LD . This is a fantastic opportunity for a customer-focused and enthusiastic individual to support the day-to-day operation of a military mess environment, providing excellent service to customers and guests. What's in it for you? £12.71 per hour 12 hours per week Weekend-only working pattern Saturday and Sunday shifts: 9:00am - 1:00pm 4:00pm - 7:00pm Free on-site parking Catering facilities available on site Access to our Employee Benefits app, including online GP access, Employee Assistance Programme, discounts, supermarket savings and more Life assurance and pension scheme Generous holiday entitlement Training and development opportunities Apprenticeship schemes available Career progression within a global organisation What you'll be doing Serving food and beverages to customers in a friendly and professional manner Supporting the smooth running of mess and hospitality services Assisting with setting up and clearing service areas Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout dining and service areas Replenishing stock and supplies as required Delivering excellent customer service at all times Following food safety, health & safety, and company procedures Supporting the wider team with day-to-day operational duties About you Previous hospitality, catering, retail, or customer service experience is desirable but not essential Positive attitude and willingness to learn Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Reliable and flexible approach to work Strong attention to detail Commitment to delivering high standards of service Important Requirements Successful candidates will be required to complete a Basic DBS check prior to commencing employment.
