ATIS systems GmbH is seeking an IT Service Technician/System Administrator in Bad Homburg. The role involves installing, commissioning, and maintaining complex hardware and software solutions, both in the office and on-site at client locations. Responsibilities include providing second-level support, conducting functionality and performance tests, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, and documenting processes and solutions. Candidates should have a degree in fields like computer science or electrical engineering, or equivalent technical training, along with relevant work experience. Proficiency in Unix-based operating systems such as Red Hat and CentOS is essential, as well as knowledge of network technology and security. Familiarity with virtualization tools like PVE, VMware, or Citrix is advantageous, along with database experience in SQL or Oracle. Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to continue learning are important. Fluency in both German and English is required, and a Class B driver's license is necessary for travel. This position is suitable for individuals who are flexible and can work independently.
