Field Engineer - LWD/DD

Baker Hughes is seeking a Field Engineer specializing in Logging While Drilling (LWD) and Directional Drilling (DD) to join their Drilling Services Team in Nairobi, Kenya. In this role, you will work under direct supervision, learning to read and analyze well plans, interpret drilling dynamics, and understand the associated tools and services. Daily responsibilities include executing directional drilling tasks, performing basic maintenance at well sites, and adhering to safety and operational guidelines. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics, along with a general understanding of engineering principles and mechanical and electrical aptitude. Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work within a global matrix organization. The position may require travel, and proficiency in running basic logging-while-drilling jobs is expected as you progress in your training.
