Stage – Purchasing Support

This internship position is based at the Mendrisio headquarters in Ticino, Switzerland, where the successful candidate will join the purchasing department. The role involves supporting the team with daily operational tasks across the entire production supply chain. Key duties include collecting and processing orders for both seasonal and continuous retail and wholesale collections. The intern will act as a liaison with the merchandising office to ensure order deadlines for fabrics and finished garments are met. Additionally, the position requires creating purchase orders and managing supplier data and material coding within the company’s Navision ERP system. The role also includes monitoring fabric deliveries to improve tracking processes and providing operational support for special projects such as RFID monitoring and care label development with product development and quality teams. Candidates must hold a completed degree in Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Technical proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly advanced Excel skills, is essential for this role. Strong written and spoken English is required to perform effectively. The ideal candidate should possess excellent interpersonal skills for stakeholder management, along with strong organizational abilities, prioritization skills, and a problem-solving mindset.
