Head of Security Operations

Canonical is hiring a remote Head of Security Operations to lead its global SecOps function. The role oversees the team that shapes and runs the company’s security approach, including protecting internal systems, build processes and product deployments, and putting technical controls in place to spot, contain and fix threats automatically. It also works with learning and development on playbooks and training, and helps bring security insights into wider software development. This position suits an experienced security leader who is still very hands-on, with strong knowledge of both open source and proprietary security tools and practices, and an interest in improving security across Canonical and the wider open source community.
