Senior Software Engineer - MAAS

Canonical is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its MAAS team, which focuses on Metal As A Service technology. In this role, you will be responsible for developing core components and features of MAAS, aiming to enhance its performance and usability as a leading bare metal cloud system. Daily tasks will include shaping the architecture of MAAS, collaborating with other teams to ensure compatibility with various tools, and contributing to the continuous integration environment to maintain efficient testing practices. The ideal candidate should have experience in software engineering, particularly with performance at scale, networking, and storage, and be proficient in Python and Go. Strong technical leadership skills are essential, as you will work with a globally distributed team. This position is fully remote, but it requires international travel several times a year for team meetings.
