AI Solutions Engineer

This full-time position based in Bern involves unifying disparate artificial intelligence initiatives into a single, coherent corporate strategy. The role requires designing and implementing new AI-driven workflows using agents and similar methods, while also managing the underlying cloud and on-premises infrastructure from architecture through deployment. You will act as the internal expert for AI, advising on regulatory and compliance matters, vetting external components, and fostering broader organizational literacy through mentoring. Candidates need a degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field, along with at least five years of hands-on experience in AI/ML engineering or solution architecture. A proven history of delivering at least one AI solution to production, rather than just a proof of concept, is essential. The role demands working knowledge of both cloud and local AI infrastructure, as well as a solid grasp of AI governance, particularly within regulated industries. Strong communication skills are necessary to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. This position suits independent, analytical, and pragmatic professionals who can align stakeholders without formal authority. It is ideal for those motivated to make a visible impact on how a fast-growing medtech company utilizes AI. The employer describes its environment as multinational, innovative, and dynamic, offering a culture shaped by passion and values where employees can take ownership of their work.
