In this role, the engineer will review architectural drawings and submitted quotes to identify suitable installation options for glass, aluminum, and steel partitions. Daily tasks include performing precise take-offs for door and partition openings, interpreting door schedules and hardware sets, and preparing detailed quotes that outline materials and project scope. Effective communication with the sales team is essential to clarify project requirements and deadlines, as well as to request necessary documentation for compliance.
Candidates should possess a technical degree in Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering and demonstrate strong spatial thinking and problem-solving abilities. Experience with quantity take-offs from construction and mechanical drawings is required, along with confidence in reading civil and mechanical drawings. This full-time position operates on New York time, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and is suitable for individuals who thrive in a remote work environment.
