Software Engineer - Backend

Databricks is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in backend development to join their team in Belgrade, Serbia. In this role, you will be a key member of the founding team, contributing to the development of their Data Intelligence Platform. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve tackling challenges related to distributed systems, service architecture, and workflow orchestration. You will also work on building secure and high-performance services for managing large volumes of data on cloud storage platforms like AWS S3, GCS, and Azure Blob Store. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, along with at least three years of production-level experience in programming languages such as Java, Scala, or C++. Familiarity with large-scale distributed systems and experience with SaaS platforms or Service-Oriented Architectures are essential. Knowledge of SQL is also required.
