Public Safety Officer/Armed - Full Time - 2nd Shift

Dayton Children's Hospital is seeking a full-time Armed Public Safety Officer for the 2nd shift, specifically from 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM, including rotating weekends and holidays. This role focuses on ensuring safety and security within the hospital, both during regular operations and in emergencies. The officer will enforce security policies in a professional manner and collaborate with various hospital departments to maintain a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and be at least 21 years old. A valid Ohio driver’s license is required, and applicants should be insurable under the hospital's insurance policy. Previous experience in law enforcement, military, corrections, or hospital security is preferred, along with familiarity in healthcare settings. Additionally, the officer must complete OPOTA certification or OPOTA Private Security Academy training within the first year of employment.
