RN PACU

Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in Idaho Falls, ID. In this role, you will be responsible for the immediate care of patients recovering from surgery, which includes managing airway support, monitoring neurological and cardiac status, and addressing any complications that arise. You will also provide initial wound care and ensure patient stability during the recovery process, collaborating closely with the surgical and anesthesia teams. The position requires on-call availability during certain non-business hours, which will be discussed during the interview. The work schedule allows for self-preferential scheduling, with shifts posted four weeks in advance. The environment promotes a collaborative culture, supported by leadership that encourages nurses to voice their opinions and seek assistance when needed. Staffing support is available from Certified Nurse Assistants, Patient Care Technicians, Charge Nurses, and an internal RN float pool.
