Platform Engineer (m/f/d)

Ecoplanet Green Operations GmbH is seeking a full-time Platform Engineer in Munich to maintain the technical foundation supporting their energy software. Day to day, the role involves building reliable ingestion pipelines for incoming facility meter records, creating backend services, and maintaining cloud systems so fellow developers can deploy and diagnose their own code smoothly. The position also entails determining architectural standards, resolving data stream bottlenecks, and steering future investments in the company’s platform setup. Technically, the post requires hands-on familiarity with Apache Kafka for designing schemas and handling complex data flows, TypeScript for programming APIs and integration services, and Google Cloud Platform for managing compute resources, networking, identity access, continuous integration, and system monitoring. Candidates must have a minimum of six to eight years of professional experience constructing live backend environments, particularly in foundational infrastructure capacities relied upon by other technical colleagues.
