Engineer - Electrical

In this role, you'll take ownership of electrical system design and implementation for building and infrastructure projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, efficient, and compliant electrical solutions. Design and develop power distribution layouts, single line diagrams (SLDs), and comprehensive electrical calculations including cable sizing, voltage drop analysis, and fault level studies Create detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and load calculations that meet project requirements and adhere to safety standards Support procurement activities by preparing technical datasheets, material requisitions, and conducting vendor reviews to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including MEP, structural, and architectural professionals to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into overall project designs Conduct site inspections and supervise electrical installation work to verify adherence to design specifications and quality standards Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards (IEC/IEEE), local electrical codes, and safety regulations Provide technical support for site queries and actively participate in commissioning activities to ensure successful project delivery Contribute to project planning, scheduling, and budgeting efforts to support timely and cost-effective project completion Analyze and troubleshoot electrical system challenges, providing innovative solutions that enhance performance and reliability Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field 2-5 years of professional experience in electrical design and engineering for building or infrastructure projects Strong proficiency with industry-standard software tools such as ETAP, AutoCAD, or equivalent power system analysis and design platforms Solid knowledge of electrical standards and codes (IEC, IEEE) and their practical application in design Demonstrated expertise in power distribution systems, lighting design, and emergency electrical systems Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical challenges Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams Proficiency in preparing technical documentation, drawings, and specifications Familiarity with site supervision and commissioning processes Knowledge of electrical safety practices and compliance requirements Project management fundamentals and ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently Preferred: Experience with power system studies, substation design, or industrial electrical systems Preferred: Certification in electrical safety or relevant professional credentials
