GIS Specialist

We are seeking a skilled GIS Specialist to support the development and delivery of geospatial solutions across infrastructure, buildings, urban development, and sustainable city projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for spatial data management, GIS analysis, BIM-GIS integration, application support, and geospatial visualisation while collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and manage GIS databases and geospatial datasets. Perform spatial analysis, data modelling, and geoprocessing to support project requirements and decision-making. Create high-quality maps, dashboards, and visualisation products for internal and external stakeholders. Support BIM-GIS integration workflows and coordinate geospatial data exchange with BIM platforms. Utilise FME for data transformation, migration, validation, and interoperability between various systems. Assist in the design and implementation of GIS workflows, standards, and best practices. Develop and maintain GIS applications, tools, and automated processes. Conduct quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) activities on geospatial datasets. Collaborate with engineers, planners, architects, and project teams to gather and analyse spatial requirements. Support the management and analysis of remote sensing and imagery datasets. Prepare technical documentation, reports, and project deliverables. Stay updated with emerging GIS technologies and recommend process improvements. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in GIS, Geomatics, Geography, Geoinformatics, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. 4 to 8 years of relevant GIS experience . Strong hands-on experience with ArcGIS Pro and QGIS . Experience in spatial analysis, cartography, and geospatial data management. Working knowledge of BIM-GIS integration concepts and workflows. Hands-on experience with FME for data conversion and ETL processes. Experience with spatial databases and SQL. Proficiency in Python scripting for GIS automation and workflow optimization. Understanding of coordinate systems, projections, and geospatial standards. Experience working with raster, vector, and remote sensing datasets. Preferred Skills Exposure to infrastructure, transportation, utilities, urban planning, smart city, or building projects. Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, or Web GIS applications. Knowledge of Autodesk BIM platforms (Revit, Civil 3D, InfraWorks, Autodesk Construction Cloud). Familiarity with geospatial data publishing, dashboards, and web mapping solutions. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to manage multiple project deliverables and timelines. Effective stakeholder communication and collaboration skills.
