Job Summary
The Software Programmer will be a member of the Quality Engineering team supporting the pharmaceutical laboratories. The employee will develop custom computer scripts to support the laboratories with data transfer from laboratory instrumentation, consolidation and configuration of data to enable decision making on test data.
Software Programmer responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Research and work with internal teams to develop new custom spreadsheets containing new custom code to automate data interpretation, consolidation and transfer
Generate validation documents (e.g. URS, FRS, IQ/OQ, UAT) and execute testing to ensure accurate and reliable performance in accordance with established procedures to meet client and regulatory requirements
Perform review of spreadsheets to meet validation requirements
Perform changes to existing spreadsheet code
The ideal candidate would possess:
Programming knowledge of Visual Basic
Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
Ability to research and learn new techniques quickly, perform multiple tasks, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Knowledge of GxP compliance in a pharmaceutical setting
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
Experience with Visual Basic code development
A degree/certification in science, engineering, computer systems, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one year of education in related major)
Experience with technical writing
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. with additional hours, as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lancaster, PA are encouraged to apply.
