AI Engineer, Agents & Search

G2i is seeking a full-time AI Engineer to join their client, which specializes in AI-driven software for healthcare staffing. This remote position is open to candidates in the United States and Latin America. The role involves developing and managing production agent systems, focusing on agent orchestration, search, retrieval, and evaluation. Daily tasks include enhancing production LLM agents, designing tool-calling systems, and creating retrieval pipelines that utilize structured filters and keyword searches. The engineer will also be responsible for implementing durable workflows, investigating production failures, and applying backend engineering practices to AI features in recruiting processes. Candidates should have hands-on experience with LLM agent systems in production and possess strong backend engineering fundamentals. This position is ideal for those who are comfortable taking systems from implementation to production and are skilled in evaluating system performance.
