((Station)) in ((location)) has an opening for an experienced Media Research Director . As Media Research Director, you will analyze audience impressions and research information to design compelling presentations for our sales team and outside promotion. This is a great opportunity to join one of the broadcast industry's most respected companies, Hearst Television. You will be proficient in Nielsen software, Marshall Marketing and WideOrbit Media Sales. Media Research Directors provide relevant research and strategic guidance to the stations' news, programming and creative services departments while being analytical, creative and proactive. You will report to the ((manager title)).
Responsibilities
Create compelling presentations that promote the marketing power of all the station's media platforms.
Play an important role in the advertising sales department and work with station management on projects and marketing plans.
Participate in sales, promotional and news activities, including presentations to clients, station management and full-station staff meetings.
Use multiple software applications to analyze Nielsen research and other qualitative data.
Participate in monthly Department Head meetings to present YOY analytics.
Requirements
Prior advertising, marketing or broadcast experience.
Background in consumer or media research and related software applications.
Proficiency in Nielsen software, WideOrbit Media Sales, Marshall Marketing, Excel and PowerPoint, including the ability to maintain complex spreadsheets.
Analytical, creative and desktop publishing expertise.
Curiosity about consumer and media habits, with a focus on positioning research data in a clear and compelling way.
Excellent communication skills.
Related military experience will be considered.

Compensation
The base salary range below represents the Company's good-faith estimate for this position in the posted work location at the time of posting.
A final decision on the successful candidate's starting salary will be based on a number of permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to skills and experience, training, certifications, education, geographic location and market considerations.
The anticipated base salary range for this role is:
$145,000 — $155,000 USD
