Staff Data Scientist, Lead Generation

Launch Potato is seeking a Staff Data Scientist for their Lead Generation team, with a focus on optimizing auto insurance shopper experiences. In this role, you will develop models to determine which insurance carriers are displayed to users, aiming to enhance conversion rates and influence bidding strategies. You will also manage media spend models, ensuring they meet return on ad spend (ROAS) targets. The position requires hands-on involvement in problem framing, data sourcing, model building, validation, deployment, and monitoring, with collaboration alongside an ML engineer for production tasks. The role emphasizes the importance of working with complex data, as outcomes may take time to materialize and user sessions can be inconsistent. This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements.
