Principal Software Engineer, DevOps

Legion is seeking a Principal Software Engineer specializing in DevOps for a remote position in the United States. The role involves supporting and enhancing Legion's public cloud platform, focusing on automation, infrastructure, and services within an AWS and Kubernetes environment. Daily tasks include developing infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform, Chef, and Jenkins, as well as managing production alerts and conducting root-cause investigations. The position requires a minimum of 12 years of experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or similar SaaS operations, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience managing AWS services. Candidates should also have experience with containerized solutions, particularly Docker and Kubernetes, and familiarity with HELM charts. Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Python, Bash, or Perl is essential, along with experience in infrastructure automation and CI/CD pipelines. This role is suitable for individuals who are passionate about automation and cloud services and are comfortable participating in an on-call rotation.
