Senior Software Engineer ll

Microchip Armenia CJSC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to join their team in Yerevan. The role involves designing and managing significant components or subsystems within a large C++ codebase, with a focus on both modern and legacy C++ practices. Candidates should have over ten years of professional experience in software engineering, along with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science or Electrical Engineering. Proficiency in C++ is essential, as is experience with legacy Windows desktop technologies and cross-platform development on Windows and Linux, including the use of CMake. Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or TCL is also required. Strong English communication skills are necessary for producing clear technical specifications. The position is suitable for individuals who can work independently on loosely defined tasks and drive them to completion. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of EDA software internals and experience with Qt for integrating compute back-ends. Familiarity with source code management systems is also advantageous.
