Data Protection & AI Governance Advisor (m/w/d)

neoshare is seeking a Data Protection & AI Governance Advisor in Munich for a full-time position. The role involves supporting business functions with documentation of processing activities and maintaining records in compliance with GDPR. Responsibilities include conducting data protection impact assessments, advising on data minimization and privacy by design for SaaS products, and reviewing contracts with service providers and AI tools. The advisor will also manage the data protection management system, ensuring policies are up to date and monitoring compliance measures. In terms of AI governance, the advisor will build and maintain an inventory of AI systems, prepare documentation for risk management and data governance, and evaluate AI models for compliance with contractual obligations. The ideal candidate should have at least three years of experience in data protection, particularly in a second-line function such as data protection coordination or compliance. Strong collaboration skills are essential, as the role involves working closely with product, engineering, and legal teams. Proficiency in German and English is likely required, given the nature of the work.
