About the role
OpenAI is seeking a Land Development & Due Diligence Lead to join their Site Readiness & Development team, which focuses on transforming powered-land opportunities into viable infrastructure projects. The role involves validating potential sites for buildability, compliance, and cost-effectiveness, while leading technical diligence in areas such as geotechnical assessments, environmental evaluations, and permitting processes. Candidates should have over eight years of experience in land development, civil or environmental engineering, or data center diligence, along with a solid understanding of permitting and entitlement procedures. Strong project management and technical review skills are essential, as is the ability to manage consultants and interpret complex studies. The position requires regular communication of site readiness updates and risks to executive stakeholders, as well as the establishment of key performance indicators for site selection effectiveness. This remote role is ideal for individuals with a background in infrastructure development who are adept at risk management and strategic planning.
