About the role

Oracle is seeking a Principal Core Infrastructure Engineer to lead the development of robust infrastructure systems for its Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) platform. This position is part of the Host Provisioning Services (HoPS) team, which is responsible for automating the entire server lifecycle, from hardware integration to instance provisioning and firmware management. Daily tasks will involve architecting and delivering services and automation pipelines that manage server provisioning at scale, as well as enabling firmware updates and telemetry-based observability. Candidates should have a strong background in operating systems, hardware-software integration, distributed services, and cloud-scale automation. Familiarity with components such as BMCs, NICs, SmartNICs, and GPUs is essential. The role requires onsite work in Nashville, TN, so applicants must either reside locally or be willing to relocate. This position is well-suited for experienced systems engineers looking to contribute to the evolution of OCI’s infrastructure and collaborate with various teams across the organization.
