Video Editor

PlanetScale is seeking a remote Video Editor to enhance their video production process. In this role, you will be responsible for editing and animating a variety of content, including YouTube videos, social media shorts, conference highlights, and launch films. The position encourages creativity and experimentation with new tools, particularly those influenced by AI advancements in video editing. Candidates should have a strong portfolio showcasing their editing skills across different formats, including YouTube and podcasts, and demonstrate a keen understanding of pacing, structure, and storytelling. Proficiency in professional editing software such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, and Final Cut Pro is essential. Experience with AI tools for animation and editing, as well as the ability to automate parts of the editing pipeline, is also required. The role involves collaborating closely with the team to develop ideas and quickly iterate based on feedback.
