Core Protocol Engineer

Ritual is looking for a Core Protocol Engineer to join their remote team, focusing on enhancing the Ethereum execution layer for advanced computing capabilities. The role involves designing and implementing extensions to Ethereum clients like Geth and Reth, developing transaction processing pipelines, and collaborating with the research team on protocol specifications. Candidates should have a deep understanding of EVM internals and experience with implementing and optimizing precompiles. Proficiency in programming languages such as Go and/or Rust, along with Solidity, is essential. A solid grasp of Ethereum's roadmap and active participation in protocol discussions is also required. The ideal candidate will have experience with parallel execution patterns in blockchain systems and a strong understanding of consensus mechanisms and blockchain architecture.
