Director of Roofing Operations

Sika Corporation is looking for and experienced Director of Production to join it's growing team in the Sealy, TX area for our Roofing business. This position is tasked with the efficient, safe, and environmentally correct operation and growth of the plant. The incumbent is expected to develop and implement new programs to achieve higher quality and productivity and be the Corporation's representative to direct and achieve our Vision in the Manufacturing Plant by cultivating an environment of confidence and trust. Attain annual safety goals through a solid understanding of safety management as well as the ability to convey and enforce safety rules and procedures throughout the manufacturing organization. In order to attain annual quality and delivery goals, this position must be familiar with the product quality needs of all products. Problem-solving, error-proofing and mentoring skills are required. The incumbent must have the ability to map processes and identify non value-added activities to streamline production activities. Demonstrate ability to team up with the engineering, maintenance, and quality functions including participating in capital planning, preventative maintenance, and problem solving. A comprehensive knowledge of continuous improvement concepts including statistical process control and lean manufacturing is also required. In addition, the incumbent must have a good understanding of mechanical engineering with conceptual understanding of chemical and/or electrical engineering.
