Lead Machine Operators

Sika is looking for an experienced Lead Machine Operators to join its growing team in the Sealy, TX area for our roofing business. The Lead Operator is responsible for ensuring successful operation of the production line. Their primary function will be to lead a crew of operators, while ensuring the machine is running safely and properly. ( 3 shifts available, 1st, 2nd and 3rd) Oversee startup, shutdown, and operation of key pieces of equipment Operation of equipment through PLC driven HMI interface Communicate effectively and in a professional manner with the team Basic troubleshooting of equipment and knowledge of how to handle specific situations/issues Communicate issues and concerns to both maintenance and management. Issue corresponding work orders into the Fiix CMMS Document lot numbers of all materials used in production Identify hazards and anomalies in the process and communicate them to the appropriate parties Routinely gather finished material samples and test them for thickness/weight according to ASTM testing protocols Keep a repository of test data, machine data, start-stop times, and reasons for shutting down Maintain a positive relationship with both Maintenance and Quality Assurance and seek them out when needed Coordinate product/recipe changes with the production team and shuttle drivers.
