Lead AI Engineer with Java 17

EPAM Systems is looking for a Lead AI Engineer based in Armenia to provide hands-on technical leadership for a delivery team. Candidates should be familiar with AI coding tools like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and Cursor, and will be responsible for configuring servers and managing AI/LLM gateways. The position requires 12 to 15 years of overall engineering experience, including at least three years in leading AI-assisted delivery teams. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with client architects and presenting progress to senior leadership. This is a fully remote role, allowing flexibility to work from anywhere in Armenia, including home or designated offices in Yerevan or Gyumri.
