What You Will Be Doing: You will lead the development of high-voltage circuit designs and hardware systems for Helion’s fusion devices. Your primary responsibility will be to grow and lead a high-performing electrical engineering team by providing mentorship, modeling technical excellence, and driving execution speed. You will solve complex engineering challenges that directly impact machine performance and help deliver clean, low-cost, reliable electricity to the world. You will report to the Senior Manager of Electrical Engineering and this is an onsite role located at our Everett, WA office. You Will: - Grow and mentor a team of multidisciplinary electrical engineers - Oversee design of machine architecture, pulsed power circuits, grid-interfacing systems, and circuit modeling including plasma coupling - Drive schedule ownership and optimization across the team to accelerate milestone achievement - Lead design, analysis, and process improvements to increase engineering throughput - Collaborate with Research, Mechanical, and Production teams to derive system requirements and meet program goals Required Skills: - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline - 7+ years of engineering experience, including 2+ years in a technical leadership or management role - Proven ability to grow engineers and positively impact their career progression - Experience leading multidisciplinary teams with full project ownership - Demonstrated success managing complex engineering projects with schedule accountability - Hands-on experience across multiple engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing - Ability to apply first-principles thinking to solve complex technical problems #LI-Onsite #LI-KL1 Benefits Our total compensation package includes benefits, including but not limited to: - Medical, Dental, and Vision plans for employees and their families - 31 Days of PTO (21 vacation days and 10 sick days) - 10 Paid holidays, plus company-wide winter break - Up to 5% employer 401(k) match - Short term disability, long term disability, and life insurance - Paid parental leave and support (up to 16 weeks) - Annual wellness stipend Helion is an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
