Film / Commercial Director

Higgsfield AI is hiring a Film / Commercial Director in Almaty to lead visually strong, story-driven video work across commercials, short-form content, and AI-led productions. The role involves developing ideas from concept through execution, shaping treatments and scripts, and working with cinematographers, editors, motion designers, and company founders. It calls for a strong portfolio, clear cinematic judgement, fast working habits, and experience with AI creative tools or a strong willingness to learn them quickly. We’re looking for a Film / Commercial Director who: - Has exceptional taste, strong storytelling instincts, and a clear cinematic vision. - Knows how to direct emotionally compelling, visually striking, and culturally relevant content. - Can develop ideas from concept to execution across commercials, short-form content, and experimental AI-driven productions. - Has experience with AI creative tools, prompting, or generating AI-powered visual content — or is excited to learn extremely fast. - Moves fast, iterates quickly, and thrives in a high-output creative environment. - Takes ownership end-to-end and constantly raises the creative bar. - Understands internet culture, trends, pacing, and how to create content that captures attention instantly. WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON - Direct commercials, cinematic campaigns, social content, and experimental AI-native productions. - Develop creative concepts, treatments, visual references, scripts, and storytelling approaches. - Collaborate closely with cinematographers, editors, motion designers, and founders. - Experiment with new AI filmmaking workflows and hybrid production techniques. - Help define the visual language and creative direction of Higgsfield AI. - Turn ambitious ideas into high-quality content with speed and strong creative execution. YOUR MUST HAVES - Strong portfolio or reel showcasing commercial, film, music video, branded, or digital storytelling work. - Excellent understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, composition, and directing performance. - Strong creative taste and ability to develop original concepts. - Experience working with fast-paced production pipelines and creative teams. - Experience with prompting and AI-generated visual workflows is a strong plus. - High energy, ownership, adaptability, and strong communication skills. - Deep interest in AI-powered creative tools and the future of filmmaking. - Willingness to complete a test assignment focused on generating cinematic AI content.
