Electrician

Marathon Petroleum Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Journeyman Electrician for their Detroit, MI refinery. The role involves working in a heavy industrial environment, primarily outdoors, regardless of weather conditions. Daily responsibilities include ensuring electrical safety of equipment, completing lockout documentation, and adhering to NFPA 70E and company-specific electrical safety practices. The electrician will perform maintenance and repairs on various electrical systems, including Low and Medium Voltage Distribution Equipment, motors, and outdoor lighting. Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and hold a valid Michigan Journeyman License. A minimum of three to five years of relevant experience is preferred, along with the ability to pass both written and hands-on skill assessments. Familiarity with personal protective equipment requirements and the National Electrical Code for industrial settings is essential. This position is suited for individuals with a background in oil, gas, chemical, or power generation facilities, although such experience is not mandatory.
