Lead Data Engineer

Mastercard is looking for a Lead Data Engineer to join its Enterprise Credit Risk team in O'Fallon, Missouri. The role involves designing and scaling data platforms that support credit decision-making, risk management, regulatory reporting, and analytics. Daily responsibilities include leading the development of enterprise-grade data platforms and pipelines, as well as architecting scalable ETL/ELT frameworks using tools such as Databricks, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake. The position requires a strong background in data engineering and technical leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality data products. Collaboration with various teams, including Product Management and Data Science, is essential to translate complex business requirements into effective technical solutions. This is a hybrid position, requiring three days a week onsite in O'Fallon. The role is suitable for individuals with extensive experience in data engineering and a solid understanding of cloud technologies.
